Has remixed Billy Holiday, Nina Simone, Thievery Corporation, Sultan Kahn, Omar Faruk Tekliebek, Balkan Beat Box, The Pimps of Joytime, etc. This DJ set is a journey through the world of funky- organic- urban dance music all seen through the eyes of a New York native.

dj-antal-lasalDutch DJ Antal is the founder of Rush Hour, the platform born in 1997 as a record shop and later to become distributor company and label. All the artists and sub-labels that get shelter in Rush Hour have the electronic groove as the common denominator.

Artists such as Carl Craig, Kenny Larkin, Aardvarck, Recloose and Rednose Distrikt have all released on Rush Hour – which also distributes other labels like Kindred Spirits, Unexpected and Neroli. An avantgarde, black electronic fest.

Lasal started to swap the traditional concept of Spain’s chiringuito with an up-to-date proposal lead by a nightly, free musical activity – an unprecedented idea among this kind of venues.

15 summers later, Lasal still feels this philosophy, with an open, careful and consolidated music programme, specially focused on the more contemporary rhythms of electronic and black music. The soundtrack of the beach is set up by a ever-changing decoration – an extension of the bar structure, which is meant to fit in its natural location by the sea.
